About the procedure
In facial mesotherapy, blends of hyaluronic acid, vitamins and antioxidants are delivered into the upper layer of the skin, increasing radiance, hydration and elasticity. In body mesotherapy, fat-dissolving and circulation-boosting blends are used for localized slimming and cellulite.
It is planned as a course of several sessions, 2–4 weeks apart.
In mesotherapy, rather than a single ready-made formula, the mixture is chosen according to skin type and concern: hyaluronic acid-based for dry, dull skin, antioxidant-rich for a tendency to pigmentation, and mixtures that speed up fat metabolism for localized fat. The treatment is delivered in small amounts into the upper layer of the skin with very fine needles; because the effect builds up over the course, keeping to the session intervals is important. When used to support recovery after surgery, the timing is decided together with the surgeon.
- ✓Non-surgical
- ✓Supports recovery after surgery
- ✓Blend tailored to the individual

Process
How does it proceed, step by step?
- 01
Initial consultation
Skin type, concern, and target area are evaluated; a history of allergies, medications, and chronic illness is taken.
- 02
Choosing the mixture
A hydrating and antioxidant mixture for the face, or a fat-dissolving and circulation-regulating mixture for the body, is chosen by the physician; the number of sessions is planned.
- 03
Procedure day
The skin is cleansed and numbing cream is left on for 20–30 minutes; the mixture is delivered to many shallow points manually or with an injection gun.
- 04
After the procedure
A soothing cream is applied for redness and small bumps; makeup and hot environments are avoided the same day.
- 05
Course follow-up
Sessions are repeated every 2–4 weeks; the skin's response is evaluated at each session and the mixture is updated if needed.
- 06
Maintenance
After the course is complete, a single maintenance session every 3–6 months may be recommended to preserve the effect.
Recovery
Recovery timeline
Day 1
Redness, mild burning, and small bumps at the needle points on the skin; bruising may occur with body treatments.
Days 2–3
The redness passes and the bumps flatten; makeup can be applied to the face.
Week 1
Bruises from body treatments fade; intense exercise and sauna are postponed during this period.
Weeks 3–4
The first difference in skin hydration and radiance is felt; the second session is usually planned during this period.
Month 3
At the end of the course, the change in skin quality is at its most noticeable; with body treatments, the change in measurements is evaluated during this period.
Timeframes are averages; they vary by person and by the scope of the procedure.

Risks and points to consider
Every medical procedure carries risks. The points below are the main known issues for this procedure; a risk assessment specific to you is made during the consultation.
- Bruising, redness, and temporary swelling; especially with body treatments, they can last a few days.
- Allergic reaction to the ingredients of the mixture; it is rare, but for this reason the ingredients are shared in advance and the first session is done more cautiously.
- Infection or small nodules at the needle points; sterile conditions and following the aftercare rules reduce this risk.
- A more limited effect than expected; for localized fat, mesotherapy does not give results as pronounced as liposuction, and expectations are set accordingly.
- Temporary uneven tone or needle marks on the face; they usually disappear within days.
